CEi Fitness is owned and operated by Shelly Pierson M.S., C.P.T., C.M.T. who is also an instructor within the Physical Education and Sports Medicine departments at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Ca.
Working within the Health and Fitness industry for the past 20 years, Shelly earned her Bachelors and Master’s degrees from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and California State University at Hayward respectively. Shelly started her career as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer while in college. During this time she studied Kinesiology, Athletic Training/Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology and Sport Psychology. After participating in 4 years of intercollegiate cross country and track and becoming an All-American athlete at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo she moved on to complete her grad

Shelly is currently working towards a blackbelt in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate under the guidance of Jim Silvan Sensei at the Okinawa Bujitsukan Dojo in Concord, CA.
Shelly is also a Certified Massage Therapist specializing in Swedish, Sport and Deep Tissue Massage modalities.
Shelly specializes in kickboxing fitness training and her personal training specialty focus is athletes, especially female runners who aspire to attain a higher level of competition, as well as, postpartum and middle aged females seeking fitness.
